JOINT CONCERT WITH CONCORDIA LADIES CHOIR
Saturday 19th October 2024 at Low Town Community Hall
Saturday 19th October 2024 at Low Town Community Hall
Our Pre-Concert Warm Up with Musical Director Bev Wightman at the podium
At the invitation of Concordia Ladies Choir, the members of Bridgnorth Male Voice Choir, led by our new Musical Director Bev Wightman, sang in a joint concert on Saturday evening to raise funds for Bridgnorth & Telford First Responders. Bev is also the Musical Director of Concordia, so it was a very busy night for her.
The very appreciative audience was packed to the gunnels, and they were soon on board as they were fittingly treated to a programme that included a number of sea shanties and other songs from our repertoire. The ladies choir led the way too with some beautiful harmonies.
There was some very positive feedback at the end of a packed programme (and it’s also possible we will have recruited a couple of new members too!)
The Male Voice Choir were very happy to support this worthwhile cause as Musical Director, Bev Wightman, is also a First Responder here in Bridgnorth.
Both Bridgnorth & Telford Community First Responders (CFR) form a life-saving partnership of volunteers working with West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) within the Bridgnorth & Telford Area. The Community First Responder scheme is self-funding, meaning it relies entirely on its own fundraising efforts, and the generosity of local businesses, individuals, and organisations for support.
Our thanks go to all who supported on the night, with the joint concert raising the magnificent sum of more than £1800.
